“Knightmare Capital” by Edward W. Page was displayed at the 2026 London Book Fair

When over 33,000 publishing professionals and book lovers walk through the same doors, you know the books on display matter. Studio of Books was proud to bring such masterpieces at the much-anticipated 2026 London Book Fair.

“Knightmare Capital” by Edward W. Page stepped onto the international stage at the 2026 London Book Fair, held 10–12 March at Olympia, London. This year, the book fair welcomed 1,005 exhibitors and more than 33,000 visitors.

The London Book Fair (LBF) is one of the most prestigious events in the publishing world, uniting authors, publishers, literary agents, and industry professionals from over 100 countries. Far beyond a traditional book fair, it is a global marketplace for the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, film, and digital media — where deals are made, voices are amplified, and new stories find their readers.

This is where authors meet publishers, literary agents pitch to foreign buyers, and book lovers discover their next great read. It is, above all, where ideas become movements.

Every rocket ride eventually comes back down. The question is whether you see it coming.

Knightmare Capital is Edward W. Page’s raw, unfiltered account of his leap from the steady world of surety bond underwriting and commercial banking into the unrelenting pressure of private equity. Driven by personal upheaval and a willingness to bet on himself, Ed joined a scrappy New York firm and found himself thrust into high-stakes deals, cross-continental travel, and boardroom confrontations that most people only witness from a safe distance.

Mentored by sharp minds across accounting, finance, law, engineering, and operations, Ed became a seasoned deal man — acquiring, turning around, and exiting companies across North America and Europe while the firm’s reputation soared. But success has a way of concealing what’s rotting underneath. Cracks at the top began to spread. The firm’s mysterious Chairman grew increasingly erratic. Fortunes were lost, careers collapsed, and the carefully built house of cards began to shake.

Ed stood at the center of it all — not watching, but fighting. To salvage what could be saved. To protect the companies and people that still mattered.

More than a business memoir, Knightmare Capital is a cautionary tale, a survival guide, and an unflinching look at how power, ego, and neglect can quietly dismantle even the most promising of empires.

Edward W. Page began his career in surety bond underwriting and commercial banking across New Jersey and Missouri before stepping into the world of private equity in New York. From his home in St. Louis, he commuted to Manhattan to negotiate, acquire, finance, manage, and divest companies across two continents — until the arrival of his son brought him home for good.

Back in St. Louis, Ed founded Williams Capital Partners, Inc., dedicating the next four decades to acquiring and advising privately held businesses throughout the Midwest. His track record is built on successful turnarounds — companies preserved, jobs saved, and communities steadied by steady leadership in uncertain times.

Outside of work, Ed enjoys golf, skiing, and walks with his dog, Gertie. He travels often, values time with close friends, and makes regular trips to London with his wife, Lynn, to visit their son, William, and daughter-in-law, Tara.
