From June 24 to 28, 2026, the city of Seoul opened its doors to the world — and Studio of Books walked right in.
The 2026 Seoul International Book Fair brought the global literary community together at the COEX Convention Center in Seoul, South Korea, for five days of storytelling, discovery, and connection. Korea’s largest book festival, now nearly 70 years strong, once again proved why it stands as one of Asia’s most celebrated publishing events. And for Studio of Books, it was an experience that will not soon be forgotten.
We are proud to share that the SOB Book Gallery at SIBF 2026 was a resounding success.
A Fair With a Message and a Gallery Ready to Meet It
This year’s Seoul International Book Fair carried a theme that felt personal to us: “Human Declaration: Homo Duduri.” In an era where artificial intelligence answers questions faster than we can ask them, SIBF challenged its participants to reflect on what makes human expression irreplaceable — the questions we ask, the stories we tell, the voices we choose to amplify.
For Studio of Books, that theme could not have resonated more deeply.
Every book in the SOB Book Gallery was exactly that — a human declaration. A voice that chose to put its truth, imagination, and experience into the world. Walking through our gallery, visitors were not simply browsing titles. They were encountering the distinct and unfiltered expression of authors who had something to say.
The fair gave that expression a global stage. And the SOB Book Gallery made sure it was seen.
The Gallery That Drew People In
The SOB Book Gallery was designed with intention — a space where books were not simply arranged for display, but presented as individual works worthy of attention and conversation.
Visitors to the gallery moved through with curiosity. They paused over covers, leaned in to read about the stories behind each title, and engaged with the books in a way that felt organic and genuine. The energy was warm, exploratory, and alive — exactly the kind of atmosphere that books deserve to be discovered in.
What made the gallery especially meaningful was the diversity of voices it represented. Each title on display brought a different perspective, a different story, a different world. Together, they painted a picture of what Studio of Books stands for: a publisher that champions stories with depth, purpose, and the power to connect across cultures.
Attendees from across Korea and around the world stopped to explore. Publishing professionals, book lovers, educators, and curious visitors all found something that caught their eye. For Studio of Books, each moment of engagement was a reminder of why we do what we do.
Seoul as a Platform for Our Authors
SIBF draws more than 530 publishers and literary organizations from 18 countries, creating an extraordinary convergence of the global publishing industry in one place. For our authors, the SOB Book Gallery at this fair was more than a display — it was a doorway.
A doorway to international visibility. To new readers who might never have encountered their work otherwise. To industry professionals who are always searching for the next story that speaks to something real. To markets in Asia and beyond that are hungry for fresh voices and meaningful narratives.
Studio of Books is committed to opening those doors. Our participation in the 2026 Seoul International Book Fair was an extension of that commitment — a deliberate step toward ensuring that our authors’ works are not just published, but positioned, celebrated, and seen by the audiences they deserve.
Seoul made that possible. The SOB Book Gallery made it happen.
More Than a Fair. A Moment That Stays.
There is something about Seoul that lingers. The city’s energy, its blend of deep cultural roots and forward-thinking spirit, made the backdrop for SIBF 2026 feel especially fitting for a fair centered on the enduring power of human storytelling.
Walking the halls of COEX, surrounded by publishers and readers from across the globe, our team was reminded of something important: books are not passive objects. They are active conversations waiting to happen. When the right reader finds the right book — in a gallery, on a shelf, at an international fair — something shifts. A connection forms. A story begins to live beyond its pages.
That is what Studio of Books witnessed at SIBF 2026. And it is a feeling that drives everything we do.
Looking Forward With Gratitude
As the curtain closes on the 2026 Seoul International Book Fair, Studio of Books reflects on this experience with deep appreciation.
We are grateful to the fair’s organizers for creating a space where stories from all corners of the world are welcomed and celebrated. We are grateful to every visitor who stepped into the SOB Book Gallery, explored our featured titles, and engaged with the works on display. And above all, we are grateful to our authors — whose creativity, courage, and commitment to their craft made this showcase possible.
The books have been seen. The stories have found new ground. And Studio of Books is already looking ahead to the next opportunity to bring them to the world.
In Seoul, our authors’ voices carried far. We will make sure they keep traveling.
