Far beyond a traditional book fair, it is a global marketplace for the sale and distribution of content across print, audio, film, and digital media — where deals are made, voices are amplified, and new stories find their readers.

Shevon Frederick’s deeply personal and spiritually layered work takes its title from a birthing experience — and from there, unfolds across chapters as richly connected as the cords that bind us: musical chords, electronic cords, and the invisible ties of family, faith, and generational patterns that shape who we become.
Drawing from Scripture, lived experience, and a heart shaped by decades of walking with God, Frederick covers an expansive range of territory. She revisits and expands on themes from her earlier book Drifted, answering questions that were left open. She examines the family unit as designed by God — from Adam and Eve through Jewish, Muslim, and Gentile traditions — and speaks honestly about marriage, the church, and the forces that work against both. She addresses the importance of education and employment, writes directly to Christian readers and the children of pastors and believers, and exposes the enemy’s strategies with clarity and purpose.
Chapters on fasting, dancing, dreams and visions, the Holy Trinity, and the power of prayer round out a work that is as wide as it is deep. The book of Psalms serves as an anchor throughout, offering the timeless answers that Frederick believes have always been hiding in plain sight.
